Research from Columbia University, Harvard Business Review, and Catalyst have all shown that having women in senior level positions at companies does make a difference in financial performance and organizational health. But a recent Ernst & Young research paper shows that without male sponsor “heroes,” it is difficult for women to rise up to leadership positions in the corporate sector.
