"Progress for Women, but a Long Way to Go"
The World Economic Forum’s sixth annual Global Gender Gap Report 2011, released on Tuesday at the organization’s office in New York, ranks the United States at No. 17 for progress made in women’s education, health, economic clout and political empowerment. “[That is] hardly anything to boast about in a country that prides itself on being a leader in women’s rights,” says NYT.
